Why should you care about social media? ~ Did you know?
This post is not about photography directly, but how the world around us has changed and continues to do so. Why should you care? You could always just not use Facebook or Twitter. If you are going to be marketing yourself in any way you owe it to yourself to at least listen.
What are your thoughts on why you should be using social media? Is it just a big waste of time? I think it really is all about how choose to use it.
I agree with your last sentence fully. Any social media platform can be either beneficial or destructive depending on how one utilizes them. I’m a fan of social media because not only have they helped me to reunite with old friends I’ve thought about over the years but it’s also helped me to build connections with people I’d have never met otherwise. It’s helped me to bring my networking to a whole new level. Personally I find social media has more benefits than negative factors. That said I’m also old fashioned & tend to bring almost all my online connections offline at some point. I’m more a fan of real life interactions than online. I use social media strictly as an extra networking tool and not as a substitute for real life.
